IPAS Indonesia in collaboration with the facilitators of the post abortion care (PAC) training at the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Gajah Mada University (FK-KMK UGM) organized a refresher workshop for PAC trainers and master trainers.
The training, which was held on June 22 and 23 at the Alana Convention Center Yogyakarta, also introduced the latest PAC Model Curriculum. Starting with IPAS Indonesia Foundation’s first project, namely the Integrated Improvement of Women’s Reproductive Health or PEKERTi, where the main focus of this project is to ensure that every woman and adolescent girl has access to comprehensive and women-centered PAC services.
Several activities have been carried out in 2018, IPAS Indonesia in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Health and FK-KMK UGM developed PAC training module and curriculum, comprehensive post-abortion acre services master of trainer training, as well as training and monitoring of PAC service providers in 3 districts / cities, and so on.
This two-day workshop aims to make trainers and master trainers aware of the latest PAC training module curriculum and provide input on the PAC training module curriculum. The PAC training facilitators who were present at that time were approximately 12 people. They received a presentation regarding the structure of the latest PAC training curriculum.
On day 1, facilitators were invited to discuss the curriculum structure together to determine whether the materials and number of lessons allocated were adequate. Each facilitator was assigned to read the materials from the training module so that by day 2, the materials in the module had been adapted to current health policies.
With this workshop, it is hoped that trainers and master trainers will know about the latest PAC training module curriculum. In the future, it is hoped that this PAC training module curriculum can be ratified and accredited so that later every PAC training conducted will be standardized. (*)
