The aim of this program is to improve access to postnatal care and contraceptive services in three regions in East Nusa Tenggara Province: Kupang City, South Central Timor District, and East Flores District. We faced great challenges due to the remote location of the districts and the lack of information related to reproductive health.
In this project, we have trained village health cadres to provide needed information on contraception and the serious risks of unsafe termination practices. They are also trained to refer patients to appropriate primary care and hospitals.
This project will continue to run until 2026, and we sincerely hope that we can have a positive impact on women in East Nusa Tenggara. With hard work and determination, we believe access to reproductive health services will improve in these areas.
